![]() Still in progress but wanted to give people who are on the fence something to go off of before the holidays (review not rating, it's not yet earned more than 2 stars). All five of these books are well worth the 5 credits. Its hard to jump in and get to know Pirateabas characters is what Im trying to say. ![]() Like the first five chapters of this book. Where I think Pirate Aba falters is when she starts introducing new characters. The struggles they are overcoming are vastly entertaining. There have to be over a dozen primary characters here. The world of the Wandering Inn is complex. Where Pirateaba is killing it in this book 5 is when she starts looking at what makes up a character she is developing. I could read Pirateaba talking about this all day. Its almost shocking how well Pirateaba is able to pull in the average reader & engross them in mundane pages on trudging water up a hill or wiping down tables. You can see character nuance growing from book one to book five. ![]() ![]() For what it is though (a novel based strongly upon MMORPG). I'm not giving it five stars and saying this is as good as Name of the Wind or Dawn of Wonder. Its a serial that Pirateaba is writing quickly. ![]()
